Our CEO recently spoke to New Scientist’s James Dinneen about the new regulations driving demand for our air lubrication technology.
He also discussed how air lubrication is attractive because it is compatible with any type of fuel and, unlike some other maritime clean technologies, is ready to go now.
Part of the current demand for the Silverstream® System is being driven by impending CII and EEXI requirements coming into force in 2023. These new rules, combined with the high price of fuel, mean that ship owners are in need of proven solutions that generate efficiencies today.
This, Noah explained to New Scientist, is why we expect our proven air lubrication technology to become "the standard in shipping".
