Vasilis Potidis

Vasilis joined Silverstream as Project Engineer in 2021, after three years of working as Consultant Naval Architect and Marine Engineer in a private venture. In his previous roles since 2016, he was involved in multiple environmental compliance-related retrofit projects, gaining experience in naval architecture consultancy, marine design and project management. In 2019, Vasilis was assigned Site Manager for the supervision of multiple retrofits in Cosco Shipyard in Shanghai, China. In this role he led multinational teams to deliver successful projects. 

Starting his career in the ship management sector, he was then involved in the project engineering of dry docks, various ship repairs and day-to-day ship management of assigned vessels. He has also acted as onboard Performance Engineer, assessing the environmental compliance of the assigned vessel.

Vasilis graduated from the National Technical University of Athens in 2012 with a MEng degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. He also holds a MSc in Technical Shipmanagement from Strathclyde University. Vasilis is a member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects and is on the path to becoming a Chartered Engineer.
