Orestis Bletsas

Orestis joined Silverstream in 2021 as Project Engineer and is responsible for system delivery, commissioning and performance testing on our retrofits installations.

Orestis has been in the marine industry since 2010 and previously worked for SeaTec UK, the subsea arm of V.Group. There he worked as Project Engineering Manager, ensuring that all engineering onboard and underwater repairs and installations were carried out in accordance with the technical specifications, statutory and Class requirements for the fleet of naval and merchant vessels.

Orestis also worked for the University of Strathclyde as a Knowledge Exchange Assistant & Research Marine Engineer on a project with the aim of developing a methodology for the identification and assessment of equipment onboard marine assets and end of life vessels.

Orestis is a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council and a member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects. He holds an MSc in Marine Engineering from Strathclyde University and a BEng in Naval Architecture Engineering from the University of Attica in Greece.
