Mark Zhang

Mark joined Silverstream in 2022 as Supplier Quality Engineer, having worked as a technical service engineer and quality engineer for several companies in the marine and manufacturing industry.

Mark has 10 years’ experience with newbuild ships and project management. As a technical service engineer for AkzoNobel, he participated in the construction of many new shipbuilding projects in several large Chinese shipyards. The vessel types included VLOC, LNG, LPG, containers and bulk carriers. He is familiar with ship building processes and the quality requirements of welding and coating.

Mark graduated from the Shanghai University of Engineering Science in 2007 with a BEng in Polymer Materials and Engineering. He also holds a certified welding inspector qualification from the American Welding Society, and is a NACE 2 certified paint and corrosion inspector.
