Giacomo Napolitano

Giacomo joined Silverstream in 2018 from a leading provider of maritime support services, V.Group. In his previous role, he oversaw the project engineering of dry docks and major repairs of the V.Ships fleet. Giacomo previously also worked as onboard Project Engineer for SeaTec, an independent marine refit company specialising in turnkey repair and upgrade projects.

Joining Silverstream as the first Project Management appointment, Giacomo has been involved in multiple projects including the company’s first multi-vessel newbuilding contract, as well as other retrofits and in-service support projects for Silverstream’s installed base. In 2020, Giacomo coordinated the system delivery and performance testing on the first vessel of the Grimaldi G5GG class, Eco Valencia. In 2021, Giacomo was promoted to Head of Delivery Unit for the newbuild segment. Reporting to the VP of Operations, Giacomo oversees the team of Project Engineers responsible for the newbuild orderbook, from sales handover to customer delivery.

Giacomo is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects, holding a master’s degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Genoa. He also holds a PFQ from the Association for Project Management, and is a FROSIO certified paint and corrosion inspector.
