Silverstream Technologies is pleased to announce it has been selected as a Highly Commended business by the Department for Business and Trade at the 2024 ‘Made in the UK, Sold to the World Awards’ in the Low Carbon Energy category.
As a maritime clean technology market leader, we understand the relevance and importance of our solution to the IMO’s decarbonisation goals and passionately believe in the role of proven, innovative solutions to enable a more sustainable shipping industry.
With offices located in London, Southampton and Shanghai, we are committed to having a positive impact on decarbonisation, working with multiple shipping companies worldwide, including MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, A.P. Moller - Maersk, Grimaldi Group, Shell, Vale, Carnival Corporation and ADNOC Group, amongst other major industry names.
The Silverstream® System reduces frictional resistance between the water and the ship’s hull, cutting the average net fuel consumption and GHG emissions by 5-10%. The system is unique as the only proven air lubrication technology that has been retrofitted in as little as 6 days, as well as being applicable to new ships. It lasts the lifetime of the ship, is complementary to and can be used in conjunction with other clean technologies.
Silverstream’s consistent growth also saw us recognised in 2023’s Financial Times Top 1000 list of fastest growing companies in Europe.
